What Remains
This work is a visual storyboard of my experience of the grief of losing my father. The ebonised panel features a deep, textured hollow. The removal of material is representative the parts of us we lose during grief and loss. The bleached panel shows smaller hollows that echo the forever lost parts of oneself following the death of someone close. The solid central section represents the new parts of us that develop as time goes by.
Each panel measures 250mm W x 350mm H x 45mm D
