Puffin
The puffin was commissioned as a gift following a trip to Scotland where these extraordinary birds were seen in the wild.
The distinctive colourful beak gives the puffin its nickname, the sea parrot. The beak is made from laminating pale sycamore with stained surfaces to give the stripes of blue, red and yellow.
The dark plumage is made from black walnut and the legs are in yew.
