Wild Honeycomb Jewellery
Made in true collaboration with bees, this collection marks the beginning of Becas decision to make her sculpture wearable.
Each piece is made by selecting the most beautiful parts of 'edgecomb' from Becas honeybees, carving and forming the comb into the shapes she envisions, and using the ancient lost wax method to cast them into solid, recycled silver or gold.
Beca either oxidises the silver for contrast & as a nod to her background, or depletion guilds it for a white, frosted surface.
Wild honeycomb ring, carved from an asymmetric cluster of honeycomb cells & formed into a ring, then cast into reycled silver using the lost wax method. This ring is oxidised but can be made to have the frosted white silver surface.
Silver studs carved from real honeycomb cells & cast into silver. Available in 'mismatched' pairs and in an oxidised or silver finish.
