Try your hand at visible mending, good old-fashioned darning, Sashiko and Boro inspired embroidery, as well as decorative patching with our MEND makers.
New for 2022 the touring MEND van is part of an award-winning project created by Lakeland Arts in response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. MEND is a community-focused programme aimed at connecting people through creative collaboration and shared experiences.
All materials are provided. If you have a much-loved item of clothing you’d like to repair, bring it along. Why buy new, when you can mend? These are pop-up, drop-in sessions suitable for all ages. No experience required!
Events are being added regularly so check the What's On section of lakelandarts.org.uk/whats-on to see where the MEND van is heading next!
