Knitted Gilets
Using the natural qualities of wool as an insulator, I created a stitch pattern on my domestic machine that would produce a quilted effect, inspired by the Welsh quilts of the 1030s. The mono-colored patterns of these quilts reproduced the natural environment around the makers.
