Jewellery Collections | Explorations of man-made, utilitarian aesthetics, man-made urban environments and minimal, geometric translations.
Bianca O'Neill's signature style, is a visual concept that has been a long standing exploration since Bianca's initial interest in modern geometric and man-made influences took hold. These interests have been continually re-visited since her initial research, during her university studies at The Glasgow School of Art in 2007. Her often minimalist translation of these themes attempts to marry her unique artistic expression with everyday wearability.

The unusual X shaped design features two overlapping hand-saw-pierced slices of recycled sterling silver in contrasting finishes.
A disc hand finished in Bianca's 'Tiny Hammer Texture' provides the background for the highly polished accent line soldered to the surface.
Three trapezoidal wedges of recycled sterling silver are hand forged in Bianca's 'Rough Hammer Texture' and layered to create these angular, geometric studs. The static, yet seemingly cascading stud flows into the suspended square wire linear drop. The drop is finished in Bianca's 'Tiny Hammer Texture' and hand burnished on all edges. These earrings marry clean bold lines and angles with a natural flow. The hand-built repeated element offers slight asymmetry, and the burnished detail illumines the room when worn.
These complex angular statement earrings feature a variety of textures, elements, and finishes, creating a sophisticated piece of wearable sculpture. The stud design is comprised of the main stud, which is hand-saw-pierced from heavy gauge recycled sterling silver rectangular wire and features Bianca’s ‘Rough Hammered Texture’, manually applied. A highly polished line, asymmetrically placed, sits atop each of the stud's surfaces, adding subtle visual interest. From beneath each stud hang three separate elements. Two are shaped into geometric drop frames which overlap each other. The last element is a short silver bar, suspended between the two frames. The precise construction and placement of these elements result in a complex kinetic sculpture suspended from the main rectangular stud. These earrings feature various carefully considered finishes and textures.
