Carving Peace

The final carving, finished. I've always really loved patterns, for me they are hugely restful to look at, and because they change depending on the direction and source of the light they seem to be a little different each time you look at them.
Its really important to keep a consistent angle on the 'V' cut to ensure the lines are all straight. Carving geometric patterns is certainly challenging, but also very satisfying!
As the carving grows, its the light and shadows that really bring the caving to life
The first few lines cut into the stone. I love seeing the 2-D drawing evolve into 3-D
