Africa Fashion
The V&A’s Africa Fashion exhibition is an exhilarating hop across the continent and over time. Through clothing, photographs, music and personal insights, it traces the development of the creative scene across Africa from the mid-20th century to the modern day. The exhibition explores everything from fashion's role in postcolonial nation-building and the construction of personal identity, to the plethora of traditional and cutting-edge craft techniques apparent in the work of African and African diaspora designers today.
2 July 2022 to 16 April 2023 at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London
