Monument Collection | Chair 1 - Slope
Each piece is individually handmade using card, plywood and fibre cement. First the drawing is made of the piece. This is then deconstructed into a collection of pieces that will be assembled to make the frame. There can be up to 100 parts to each frame that are cutout and individually glued together to create a solid structure that is strong enough to take the weight of a seated person. This under-frame is then coated in layers of fibre cement which sets to form a a riigid outer skin.
