The Book of Becoming (2020/2021) Assemblage of 6 textile book-sculptures: Roots, Fire Within, Manuscripts don’t Burn, Wonder, Tabula Rasa & Rosa Muse-Bookmark, Poesia.

This body of work marked emergence of book form in my textile practice. Discoveries made, reinforced enormity of language for my psyche, becoming poetically codified through research and critical articulation of studio outcomes harmoniously arriving to examination of cloth as text, in fact the oldest way of communication predating alphabets. Interrogated themes of becoming, unravelling, heritage, creative passion, resilience are steeped in glorious hues of global cultural tradition.
